An effective information and communication system is a crucial if not the most important precondition of successfully implementing the Europe’s most potent institutional building instrument – Twinning.
Beyond daily press relations and website management, most of a BA’s communication activities should have the intention of having long-term effects.
That’s why, two workshops were held in June devoted to improving the reach and visibility of public administration websites, and to introduce a web-based Twinning Information Management System (TWINS) bringing together nearly 20 civil servants from 12 Beneficiary Ministries involved in the EU-funded Twinning programme.
We have created a new menu item on our website fully devoted to further developing and improving Twinning-related information / communication activities.
The Recommendations section provides Recommendations on Improving Twinning related Information and Communication Activities that were developed during two workshops, held on 25 and 30 June 2009, and accepted during the Twinning Networking Event on 9 July 2009.
The History and Main Documents section highlights the first steps that were taken when organising the BA Working Groups and for the conduct of the workshops.
