July 6, 2010 at the National Bank of Ukraine the 2nd Steering Committee of Twinning Project "Strengthening NBU potential through the approximation to EU standards of central banking" was held. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the project implementation during the 2nd quarter, covering the period from 22 March to 21 June, 2010.

 

Opening of the meeting made Igor Shumylo, Deputy Project Leader form the side of Ukraine, executive Director on Economic Affairs , noting in his opening remarks the success of the above mentioned project implementation.

 

Arthur Radomski, Project advisor  informed of the results Twinning project during the 2nd quarter, as well as made an overview of basic events that are scheduled for the 3rd quarter.
 
The participants of the event were Martin Ponttsen, Twinning Project Leader from Germany, Mariush Stankovski, Project Leader from Poland , Olena Cherniy,  Head of the Unit for coordination with Twinning and SIGMA of Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union , Oleksanhr Petryk, Director of Economic Forecasting Department of NBU and others.

The next Steering Committee meeting is going to be held in October 2010.
